making the
Illinois Olympic
Development (ODP) team.
It has been a very challenging 9 months of tryouts and
training and we our extremely proud of their outstanding
performance representing our club, our community and
their families. By making the team, the boys are
considered to be in the top 18 players in the state at
the U13 level. The boys have just returned from the
Region
II ODP training camp this week
where they represented Illinois's best against 13 other
state teams. Great job boys!!!

Boys Aces Academy and coach
Fernando Silvado for winning the 2008 Hawk Cup
Championship. The Aces went 3-0 in pool plays before
defeating the Fire Juniors 4-3 in the championship
match. Great Job Boys!

Girls Aces Academy and coach Jamie
McBride for winning the Eclipse Select 2008 Spring
Classic. They went 2-0-1 in the preliminary round
games to advance to the semifinals, where they defeated
Eclipse Select 1-0 in overtime on Penalty Kicks. In the
Championship Game they scored in the final 10 minutes to
defeat United FC 1-0 and take home the title.
Great work girls! Congratulations to Vickie Rich for signing her letter of intent to the NCAA Division II soccer program at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. Vickie officially accepted a 4-year academic and soccer scholarship to play in the Conference Carolinas on the east coast. Vickie’s outstanding play and leadership as captain of the U18 Aces Academy team helped them to a 12-2-4 record, clinching the IWSL A Liga Division Championship this past fall. Leading the team with 12 goals and 5 assists, Vickie caught the eye of several college programs. Vickie is now officially committed to being a Lees-McRae “Bobcat." read more
Congratulations to Stein Garcia for being named a national finalist for the PCA Double-Goal Coach Award! Stein was named one of only 19 finalists for this award, which recognizes outstanding youth and high-school coaches across the nation from all sports. Stein currently serves as the Director of Coaching for Elite Soccer and trains three Academy teams: U18 Girls Academy, U12 Girls Academy, and U14 Boys Academy Premier. Congratulations to Stein on this well-deserved recognition.
