Street Soccer is about letting the kids play.
Although professional coaches are in attendance to supervise the players
and jump into the games, there is no coaching or structured activity.
This creates an environment that inspires creativity and skill
experimentation without the pressure to impress coaches or parents.
Players will be responsible for setting up games and teams creating
opportunities for players to be leaders and develop
responsibility.
The term Street Soccer derives from
the rich soccer cultures of Europe and South America where streets are
full of small scrimmages and pick up games. Obviously the streets are
not the safest place to play, so our aim is to create a similar
environment with the safety of using our soccer fields. Street Soccer is
open to all players, especially those players keen to practice their
skills against players of all ages.
Street Soccer classes will take place at Salt Creek Sports Center
on Thursdays.
**Street Soccer is only for travel soccer players.
