ROSIE'S TOY CHEST 2009
Rosie Colucci is an amazing 5 year old girl who has Neurofibromatosis (NF1). Rosie and her family have been intensely involved in several fundraisers and projects to battle NF1. Because Rosie is constantly in and out of the hospital, she came up with a great project idea to make the holidays a little easier for her friends in the hospital. The annual project is called
“Rosie’s Toy Chest”
where Rosie collects toys for her friends at Children’s Memorial Hospital and other local hospitals.
“I love my hospital and it's so fun to take toys to my friends! Thanks for helping make wishes come true! :)" -Rosie
This year the
Elite Soccer Aces Youth Leaders
came together to help collect toys for "Rosie's Toy Chest." Youth Leaders asked friends, family, and neighbors to help in this great cause. With great dedication, the leaders were able to raise over 500 different kinds of toys such as dolls, stuffed animals, arts and crafts, board games, and many other great toys.
Special recognition for the extra effort from Hannah Baldwin, Daniel Hadler, Andi Marfilius, Blake Hansen, Liam King, Ian Lenke, Richard Lenke, Jenny Corley, Michael D'Acuisto, Sarah Rifkind, Erin Kinsella, Danielle Papa, Chrissy Schmadebeck, Jessica Schmidt, Alex Mascipinto, Sarah Cooney, Caroline Cooney, Danielle Montella, Elli Wills, Kathryn Brooks, Nicolette Lanaghan, Megan Brant, Matt Brant.
Additional thanks to Hannah Baldwin and Rosie Baldwin for thinking of this great project to help Rosie Colucci and her friends. Thank you to JoAnne Colucci for letting us be a part of this great cause and helping coordinate all the details. Thank you to Jason Meredith and the AHPD for providing space for the toy pick up.
Special thanks to ROSIE COLUCCI for inspiring all of us with your amazing courage, strength, and caring heart.
